Here's the deal, AFM AKASIA Church cares about one thing more than anything else, Jesus Christ. AFM AKASIA Church is a family of individuals that have found hope in Jesus, and simply want as many people as possible to experience that exact same freedom.
Where we come from
AFM AKASIA Church was started in 2016 by a few families. Back then, we imagined a church that was truly welcoming to everyone - where everyone had a seat at the table regardless of personal history, family background, ethnicity, or gender. Hope hosted its first gathering in late 2016.

Meet our Lead Pastor
Harold Mawela has served at AFM WORD OF FAITH in sohanguve for 7 years as a youth pastor. Then he moved to Akasia in 2016 to pioneer AFM AKASIA as a senior pastor, he is also part of the AFM Gauteng Regional Committee and teaches life skills. Harold Mawela is a pastor, inspirational speaker an ointed to teach the word of God with excellence. He is married to Zanele Mawela and they have three children.Harold Mawela is a worshiper, musician, pastor, inspirational speaker, author, teacher, producer and songwriter who has been actively involved for the last 20 years in the "worship revolution" which has dramatically affected the Church. He was part of Snethemba duo nominated for summer awards and metro fm awards. Harold has also led worship in The Apostolic Faith Mission conferences both nationally and internationally, he is founder of mawela music.
